In 2019 FMG Insurance initiated an SAP S/4 HANA program. FMG Australia led the SAP S/4 HANA journey and engaged TCS to perform the technical migration using a Bluefield approach and the SNP migration tool to selectively migrate data to a HANA database.
The implementation targeted ERP Financial capabilities, with configuration concentrated on core financial management functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed asset master data consolidation. The technical design centered on a database conversion to HANA combined with selective data carve outs using SNP to move only chosen historical and master data into SAP S/4 HANA while retaining transactional continuity for ongoing finance operations.
Project execution followed a structured plan with key activities defined for system conversion, selective data extraction and transformation, technical cutover sequencing and validation cycles. Governance placed technical migration ownership with TCS, and program controls were established to sequence migration waves, align finance process owners and validate migrated financial data across FMG Insurance.

In 2018, FMG Insurance implemented Cornerstone Learning Suite to centralize Learning and Development for its HR and L&D teams. The engagement ran June to November 2018 and focused on reviewing usage and ease of use, validating the LMS fit for purpose, and drafting a user centric learning roadmap tied to FMG's learning and capability objectives.
Cornerstone Learning Suite configuration work centered on content management and publishing, roadmap execution, and administration of role profiles, security and permissions. The implementation included managing system releases and establishing recurring LMS reporting, with reports produced for the learning and capability manager to inform content and release cycles.
Integrations and operational coordination included implementing and integrating LinkedIn Learning content and liaising with Cornerstone support and hosting teams for platform support and configuration. Operational scope covered FMG's learning and capability team and the wider HR function, with activities executed as part of a large cross functional team.
Governance and process restructuring were addressed through role profile updates, security governance, release management workflows, and participation in FMG's business process improvement team. The advisor role managed content evaluation and publishing, researched HR pain points, produced recommendations, and implemented changes to streamline learning workflows within Cornerstone Learning Suite.

In 2012, FMG Insurance implemented Guidewire BillingCenter as part of a one-system Guidewire deployment alongside Guidewire PolicyCenter and Guidewire ContactManager. The deployment focused on core Insurance Billing Administration workflows for FMG's New Zealand rural insurance portfolio, aligning billing operations with customer-facing account and invoicing processes.
Guidewire BillingCenter was configured with extensive customizations to support FMG's bespoke "pizza model" product configuration, enabling complex premium calculation and billing orchestration driven by nuanced rating and underwriting rules. The implementation required developer-led adaptations across billing, policy, and contact domains, and included the development of unique PolicyCenter client policy level statements and certificates that necessitated cross-module design and configuration.
Operationally, BillingCenter ran as an integrated component within the Guidewire suite, centralizing account management, invoicing, and payment lifecycle tasks while coordinating with PolicyCenter and ContactManager for policy-to-billing continuity. Governance emphasized bespoke configuration and implementation controls to preserve FMG's customer experience objectives, and the program was recorded as one of the few successful worldwide implementations of three Guidewire modules.
