In 2020, Fulton County Schools deployed Brazen HRChatbot as a Recruiting Chatbot to shift candidate engagement from passive resume review to interactive online events. The district adopted the Brazen HRChatbot after participating in a University of Georgia virtual career fair hosted by EdWeek, recognizing the platform could scale relationship building with experienced candidates across the country.
The implementation centered on Brazen’s chat event functionality, configuring scheduled virtual career fairs and real time chat events to surface and engage applicants. Brazen HRChatbot was used to manage candidate registration, event sign ups, and live conversations that enabled hiring managers to conduct rapid screening and relationship building without incremental in person events.
Operationally the district leveraged its applicant tracking system to identify nearly 400 passive candidates with incomplete applications and invited them to Brazen chat events, demonstrating an explicit integration point between the ATS and event outreach workflow. Recruitment activities were staffed by the district recruiting team and Principals as hiring managers, extending hiring function coverage to remote and nationwide candidate pools while maintaining central coordination through the Brazen platform.
Governance and process changes emphasized hosting district owned online chat events and incorporating Principals into real time recruitment dialogues, yielding immediate hiring pipeline effects. Fulton County Schools reported that nearly 60 percent of invited passive candidates signed up for events, and the district estimated that 60 percent of new teachers at the New Teacher Celebration were experienced hires, outcomes attributed in part to Brazen HRChatbot and complementary recruiting initiatives.

| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft Power BI | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2015 | 2018 |
In 2015 Fulton County Schools implemented Microsoft Power BI within its Analytics and BI environment to deliver district-level analytical dashboards and ad-hoc reporting for decision makers. The deployment emphasized interactive Power BI Power View dashboards that depict critical KPIs such as legal case matter, billing hours and case proceedings, with slicers and dicers enabling end users to apply filters and explore case-level detail.
The implementation included complex data modeling and calculations, notably implementing DAX calculations against an SSAS 2014 Tabular model and building Excel Power Pivot workbooks that were published and shared through Microsoft Power BI for strategic planning. Power Query within Power BI was used to pivot and un-pivot datasets for data cleansing and data massaging, and Power BI reports incorporated standard Analytics and BI functional workflows such as interactive visualization, calculated measures, and parameterized filtering.
The solution architecture integrated Microsoft Power BI with an on-premises Microsoft SQL Server environment across versions 2014, 2012, 2008 R2 and 2005, using SSIS for ETL orchestration and SSRS for operational reports. SSRS reports were maintained and supported using DAX and MDX queries, and the environment leveraged SQL Server Management Studio, ETL tooling, Azure and SharePoint for content storage and administration.
Operational governance followed Agile Scrum methodology with daily stand up meetings and source control and work tracking in Team Foundation Server 2010. The team generated and distributed ad-hoc reports from Excel Power Pivot through Microsoft Power BI to district decision makers for strategic planning, while ongoing support covered SSRS report maintenance and tabular model calculation updates.
