Galexis (2021) implemented SAP S/4HANA (ERP Financial) to replace a legacy ERP, selecting a high-availability, high-throughput stack to support wholesale operations that dispatch deliveries three times daily to 6,800 customers and move roughly 400,000 items (about 130,000 order lines) per day. The program targeted modernization of core finance and logistics processes and the need to sustain tight availability SLAs and seasonal peak loads.
The implementation deployed SAP S/4HANA with SAP HANA databases on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications running on IBM Power Systems (IBM Power E880C for production, E850C for sandbox). Galexis implemented SAP Extended Warehouse Management to standardize logistics operations and consolidated application servers and databases onto SLES where release dependencies allowed. Infrastructure components include IBM SAN Volume Controller with IBM Spectrum Virtualize and IBM FlashSystem 900 all-flash storage; roughly 50 SLES instances have been deployed to date with plans to manage about 60 SLES instances and up to 180 additional Linux systems. ITpoint Systems served as the integrator and single point of contact for infrastructure and coordinated application customization with SAP specialist TeamWork.
Operationally the deployment emphasizes resilience and faster provisioning: an advanced business-continuity configuration using SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension aims to cut failover times to about 15 minutes, while IBM POWER virtualization has accelerated test-system provisioning. Galexis standardized operating systems across required architectures, consolidated SAP workloads on the SLES/POWER platform, and is evaluating SUSE Manager to reduce system-administration workload and scale the SAP environment. Galexis retains priority support from SAP, SUSE and IBM to sustain availability and performance.

In 2018, Galexis implemented Iptor Analytics and BI as part of an Iptor Pharma deployment to consolidate distribution centres and to optimize procurement and replenishment workflows. The implementation was Switzerland based and focused on distribution operations and inventory management across the companys distribution footprint.
Iptor Analytics and BI delivered Business Intelligence capabilities for replenishment planning, item segmentation and supply chain visibility, using analytics to drive segmentation rules and replenishment policies. The solution aligned Analytics and BI functionality with procurement processes and inventory control, providing dashboards and item level segmentation to support operational buying decisions.
Operational coverage included consolidation of multiple distribution centres into a centralized replenishment regime, with BI reporting and dashboards feeding replenishment and procurement workflows and inventory teams. The implementation concentrated on distribution, procurement and supply chain functions, enabling governance of stocking rules via item segmentation and BI driven visibility.
The engagement explicitly reported EUR 8.1M in savings and a 25% reduction in inventory attributed to use of Business Intelligence for replenishment and procurement optimization. Governance changes emphasized centralized BI led replenishment decision making and standardized item segmentation processes to sustain lower stock levels and improved supply chain visibility.
