Work scope centered on the SQL Server BI layer, with ownership for SQL Replication, SSAS OLAP cube management, SSRS Report Server and report development, plus ad hoc international business intelligence support. A custom web portal was designed and developed using C#, MVC3, BackboneJS, MarionetteJS and SQL Server to provide business users and administrators with fine grained controls for cube and report securities, portal security administration, replication monitoring, SSRS subscription monitoring and resending, ETL monitoring and execution, and high level comparison reporting between the business ERP and IMR systems.
The implementation involved direct performance and code optimization work on Microsoft Dynamics NAV, including SQL table and index tuning, query optimization, and Navision C/AL code adjustments. SQL support was provided to developers for stored procedures, complex queries, and business database design decisions on request, reinforcing the ERP Financial application with database level reliability and query performance improvements.
Governance and operational workflows were instrumented through the custom portal, enabling controlled changes to security and automated monitoring of replication, ETL jobs, and report subscriptions. Continuation support for Dynamics Navision ERP performance issues and developer-facing SQL assistance established an ongoing operational model for international BI and ERP stability.
