SAP Legacy SAP Taulia AP Automation AP Automation ERP Financial Management n/a 2015 2016
In 2015, General Mills implemented SAP Taulia AP Automation to standardize accounts payable operations across its supplier base. SAP Taulia AP Automation is used as an AP Automation platform to centralize electronic invoice submission and payment interactions for the companys finance and procurement functions. Configuration and functional scope focused on invoice capture through the Taulia invoice and payment portal, supplier self-service invoicing, invoice-to-pay workflow orchestration, and electronic payment scheduling. The deployment emphasized automated routing and approval workflows typical of AP Automation solutions, aligning invoice lifecycles with corporate procure to pay controls. The implementation environment integrates the Taulia invoice and payment portal and the Coupa supplier network, and it operates alongside the General Mills Forecast Supplier Portal for supplier communications. Rollout and operational coverage referenced region-specific invoice submittal instructions for North America and EUAU, indicating regional invoicing governance within the AP Automation footprint. Governance and process alignment leveraged General Mills supplier enablement materials, including the Supplier Code of Conduct and a suite of supplier manuals and packaging and ingredient guides in multiple languages. Those governance artifacts were applied to vendor onboarding, standardized invoice submission requirements, and compliance alignment between AP processes and General Mills food safety and regulatory obligations.

Workday Legacy Workday Absence Management Absence and Leave Management HCM n/a 2017 2018
In 2017 General Mills implemented Workday Absence Management as part of a global HCM program. From May 2017 through January 2018 an Account Director and Senior Program Advisor supported General Mills International project leadership in overseeing the global deployment of HCM, Time Tracking, Absence, Benefits, and Payroll. Workday Absence Management was configured to deliver centralized absence plans, accrual rules, leave of absence workflows, eligibility logic, and absence reporting aligned to international policy requirements. The implementation included configuration of time off types, automated accrual calculations, leave request approval routing, and absence auditability consistent with Absence and Leave Management functional expectations. The absence capability was integrated within the Workday cloud tenant with core HCM, Time Tracking, Benefits, and Payroll to maintain a single source of employee and time data for payroll calculations and benefits eligibility. Operational coverage targeted General Mills International HR and payroll operations across multiple regions, with functional impact on HR case management, absence administration, payroll execution, and benefits enrollment processes. Program governance was run through the project leadership team with the Account Director and Senior Program Advisor providing oversight, phased rollout coordination, and alignment of absence workflows to local statutory requirements. Change control and operational handoffs were established between HR Shared Services and local HR teams to support ongoing absence administration and policy updates.

IBM Legacy IBM Maximo CMMS Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) ERP Services and Operations n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, General Mills implemented IBM Maximo CMMS. The deployment targeted Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) capabilities to centralize preventive maintenance scheduling, work order management, and asset records across manufacturing operations, and it was applied to equipment including sonic welders and other production assets. Implementation work focused on configuration of preventive maintenance job plans and work order lifecycle workflows inside IBM Maximo CMMS, with an emphasis on consistency in maintenance strategy. Analysts reviewed 146 preventative maintenance job plans from four major facilities to harmonize scheduling and task content, and a macro-enabled Microsoft Excel database was created to analyze the effects of PM plans on work orders and support configuration adjustments. Operational coverage included maintenance and engineering functions across multiple manufacturing sites, including the Wellston, Ohio location. The effort combined IBM Maximo CMMS operational data with analyst-driven spreadsheet analysis and remote collaboration to produce actionable findings, with integration activity centered on data exports and reporting feeds rather than named external system integrations. Governance and process work established cross-functional review cycles and a project team that generated more than 40 recommended changes to existing maintenance processes. Those recommendations and the IBM Maximo CMMS configuration supported standardization of PM planning and work order practices, and the initiative was associated with improved maintenance efficiency for targeted equipment as recorded in the implementation analysis.
