Microsoft Legacy Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP Financial ERP n/a 2013 2013
In 2013, GN Group implemented Microsoft Dynamics AX to address its ERP Financial requirements across its enterprise application portfolio. The implementation was managed by a Global IT management team member who led a global application development team of 30 dedicated employees and two team managers responsible for GN ReSound’s strategic enterprise applications, including Navision, Dynamics AX, SAP BW, MS BI, SharePoint and the Agile PLM system. Microsoft Dynamics AX was configured to deliver core ERP Financial functionality, with deployments focused on general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, intercompany accounting, budget control, and financial reporting workflows. The configuration effort emphasized standardized financial processes and period close orchestration consistent with ERP Financial best practices, while retaining operational stability across business units. The Dynamics AX implementation included integrations with SAP BW and MS BI for consolidated financial reporting and analytics, SharePoint for document management and collaboration, Navision for data exchange across legacy Navision-managed units, and Agile PLM to align product master data with financial records. Operational coverage targeted finance and accounting functions and extended into procurement and product data workflows through the PLM linkage. Governance and application lifecycle oversight remained centralized within Global IT, with the 30-person application development team and two team managers responsible for ongoing enhancements, configuration management, and stable operations of Microsoft Dynamics AX. Change control, release cadence, and cross-application coordination with SAP BW, MS BI, SharePoint, Navision and Agile PLM were core components of the ongoing governance model.

In 2010, GN Group implemented Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) as a core Analytics and BI capability within its Global IT portfolio. The deployment was led from GN ReSound by a member of the Global IT management team and a global application development team of 30 employees and two team managers, responsible for both enhancement and operational stability of strategic enterprise applications.
