| Fiserv | Legacy | Fiserv Prologue | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2017 | 2018 |
In 2017, Golden 1 Credit Union implemented Fiserv Prologue as its ERP Financial system. The deployment established Fiserv Prologue as the primary financial application for the Accounting department and positioned the platform to support external audit, regulatory reporting, and cross business unit financial processes. The implementation aligned with senior accounting ownership, including VP/Controller oversight and accounting project roles responsible for system maintenance and reporting.
Fiserv Prologue was configured to manage core general ledger functions, Chart of Accounts maintenance, financial statement preparation and footnote calculations, and audit trail reporting. The implementation supported automation efforts to reduce duplication and improve productivity within accounting workflows, and it was used to facilitate escheatment processing, insurance reporting, and the preparation of audited financial statements.
Operational integration explicitly included the teller interface system DataSafe for GL access controls and reconciliation workflows, and the program included testing and validation of teller interfaces, ERP program and database upgrades as part of routine change activities. The system also interfaced operationally with corporate account signatory management required for business transactions with banking partners and regulators, as governed through accounting access controls.
Governance and process responsibilities were formalized through role based controls and delegated workstreams, with the Accounting Project and Process Analyst maintaining, documenting, reviewing and auditing the Chart of Accounts and GL access, and with the VP/Controller and Accounting Manager providing validation and policy updates. The setup supported audit readiness and regulatory examination support through documented procedures, user access management, and coordinated reporting for executive management and the board of directors.

| Fiserv | Legacy | Fiserv DNA Bank Platform | Core Banking | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2023 | 2023 |
In 2023 Golden 1 Credit Union began implementing the Fiserv DNA Bank Platform as its Core Banking solution, initiating a compressed six month program that ran from September 2023 to February 2024. The engagement was a multi-departmental effort spanning 16 departments and more than 70 people, and the program was taken over mid-implementation by a new senior project manager who was the eighth project manager on the effort.
The technical scope included deployment of the Fiserv DNA Bank Platform core engine alongside a mobile banking channel and a set of other technical integrations. Configuration work focused on core transaction processing, customer data consolidation, deposit and lending capability alignment, and channel integration for mobile banking. Implementation workstreams were organized around functional modules typical of Core Banking deployments, with emphasis on stabilizing the core processing and delivering a synchronized mobile channel.
Operational coverage cut across business functions including IT engineering, digital channels, operations, product management, and business stakeholders from the 16 involved departments. Integration efforts were managed as discrete technical workstreams to coordinate interfaces between the Fiserv DNA Bank Platform and existing systems, and work packages were structured to align development, testing, and user acceptance activities across teams.
Project governance was restructured to restore clarity, using a centralized source of truth for documentation, weekly status communications to maintain alignment, and a RACI matrix plus a product matrix to clarify roles and scope. Those governance actions addressed prior delays and confusion, unified the large cross-functional team, and enabled turnover of the program to a full-time employee with a motivated and focused implementation team.
