In 2019 GoTriangle, formerly Triangle Transit, implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as its central ERP Financial application. The Manager of IT Projects led the design, procurement, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment for the organization.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central was configured to support core financial management and procurement workflow orchestration, aligning ERP Financial capabilities with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and vendor contract administration processes. The deployment architecture was integrated into a hybrid on premise and cloud identity model, using an Azure AD domain spanning W2K12 R2 and W2K16 servers and Okta to provide single sign on access to on premise and cloud systems.
Operational integrations included tying Business Central access to MS Intune and JSS for device patching and inventory, and using Identity Manager to enable self service password reset that reduced BMC Track-IT helpdesk tickets. The IT organization coordinated ERP workflows with HR onboarding and offboarding processes, managed emergency communications through EverBridge and SnapComms, and maintained corporate access control and CCTV as part of the operational scope.
Governance and rollout were executed through formal procurement instruments including RFI, RFP, RFQ, and IFB, with rewritten disaster recovery plans aligned to corporate strategic initiatives and active contract administration for consultants and vendors. The implementation narrative emphasizes system architecture, integrations across identity, endpoint management and communications, operational coverage across IT and HR, and governance practices supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as the ERP Financial system.
