The PeopleSoft configuration emphasized transactional processing, chart of accounts alignment and reporting feeds that supported both operational reconciliation and business partnering analysis.
Integrations were explicitly used with TM1 for planning and budgeting workflows and with Microsoft Office for operational reporting and analyst workstreams, as noted by the Financial Consultant who worked across TM1, PeopleSoft and Office for BAU and project analysis. Operational coverage focused on the finance department and business partnering teams in Brisbane, with PeopleSoft serving as the system of record for financial transactions while TM1 handled planning and forecasting inputs.
Governance and rollout relied on embedding finance subject matter expertise into the Business Partnering team, using secondee arrangements to surface process gaps, stabilize BAU support and capture configuration knowledge.
