In 2019, Gruppo Acea implemented PrometeoManutenzione CMMS from Informatica EDP. PrometeoManutenzione CMMS was introduced as the enterprise Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) application to centralize maintenance planning and execution across Acea's utilities operations.
The implementation focused on core CMMS capabilities, including an enterprise asset register, work order management, preventive maintenance scheduling, spare parts and inventory management, inspection and rounds management, and mobile technician access. PrometeoManutenzione CMMS was configured to support configurable work order lifecycles, maintenance task templates, and condition based inspection records consistent with Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) functional terminology.
Deployment architecture emphasized a centralized configuration and role based access model to support multi site maintenance teams and field crews across Acea's energy and water operations. The implementation included asset hierarchy definition and domain specific configuration for plant and network equipment, allowing planners and supervisors to operate from a unified CMMS instance while servicing distributed operational sites.
Governance and operational rollout established standardized maintenance planning processes, a single work order governance model, and phased user onboarding to align planners, schedulers, and field technicians. Data stewardship practices were introduced for asset master data, maintenance schedules, and spare parts catalogs to sustain the PrometeoManutenzione CMMS configuration and operational discipline.
