In 2015, Gudang Garam implemented Oracle Siebel MRM to centralize marketing operations and support campaign orchestration. The deployment targeted Marketing Automation use cases for campaign planning, resource management and marketing operations within the consumer packaged goods business.
Oracle Siebel MRM implementation included configuration of campaign management, segmentation and audience profiling, approval workflow engines and marketing asset management, reflecting standard Marketing Automation capabilities. Configuration and customization work referenced the companys Oracle development skillset, including Oracle Forms and Reports, PL SQL, XML, BI Publisher and Workflow, together with UNIX scripting and JDeveloper tooling noted in internal job profiles.
Architecturally the solution was implemented on an Oracle application stack with a dedicated Siebel application tier and relational database, requiring database operation and performance tuning tasks described in the companys staffing requirements. Operational ownership was aligned between marketing operations and the internal IT application development and database operation teams based in Jakarta, with DB administration responsibilities covering multi-database maintenance, monitoring and SQL tuning.
Governance emphasized formalized campaign workflow control and release management, with Application Development Analysts responsible for lifecycle management and Database Operation Analysts managing schema, storage and runtime stability. The implementation positioned Oracle Siebel MRM as the Marketing Automation backbone for Gudang Garams marketing function, supported by onshore technical staff and established operational roles.
