Workday Legacy Workday Absence Management Absence and Leave Management HCM n/a 2017 2018
In 2017, H&E Equipment Services implemented Workday Absence Management to centralize leave administration and standardize absence workflows across HR. Workday Absence Management was deployed as part of the broader Workday suite to support Absence and Leave Management functions alongside HCM, Benefits, Payroll, Compensation, Performance, and Recruiting modules. Configuration work for Workday Absence Management included creation and maintenance of business processes to align leave workflows with company procedures, development of custom objects and custom fields, and construction of calculated fields to drive eligibility and accrual logic. Reporting and operational automation were delivered through custom reports and scheduled processes to support HR Shared Services and Benefits teams. Integration architecture leveraged Workday integration tools, specifically EIBs, Workday Studio, and Connectors, to exchange absence, payroll, and benefits data with third party applications and downstream reporting systems. The implementation team designed, developed, and supported end to end integrations and reporting, enabling bidirectional data flows between Workday Absence Management and external systems. Governance and security controls were implemented within the Workday environment, including creation of security groups and roles, membership maintenance, and enabling and disabling domain policies. The team worked closely with Cyber Security to develop processes and policies aimed at preventing data breaches and phishing attempts, and partnered with HR Shared Services, Benefits, Recruiting, Learning, and Finance to remediate issues and roll out new functionality. Audit support processes were established to provide data to internal and external auditing teams to ensure SOX and internal compliance.
