In 2001, Hemtex implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0. The deployment positioned SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as Hemtex ERP Financial backbone for finance, merchandising, procurement, and retail operations, consolidating transactional and master data processes across the business.
The implementation included SAP Retail, MM, SD, MIM, F&R, and Basis modules, configured to support merchandise management, materials procurement, sales order and distribution workflows, inventory control, forecasting and replenishment, and technical system administration. Configuration work emphasized item master and assortment structures, procurement approval flows, pricing consistency, and integration points between retail processes and core financial ledgers.
Operational coverage extended to central merchandising, procurement, accounting, and store operations within Hemtexs retail footprint in Sweden, with Basis responsibilities assigned to IT for system provisioning, patching, and technical monitoring. The deployment approach reflected module-focused sequencing to bring retail and back-office transaction processing onto a single SAP ERP ECC 6.0 instance.
Governance changes established centralized master data ownership and standardized order-to-cash and procure-to-pay workflows, accompanied by change control for pricing, assortments, and financial reporting. Rollout and operational governance aimed to align merchandising cadence with financial close cycles and to formalize cross-functional processes supporting ongoing SAP ERP ECC 6.0 operations.

In 2013 Hemtex implemented QlikView as its Analytics and BI platform to centralize retail reporting and support canvassing and CRM requirements. The initial scope prioritized retail business functions including merchandising, store operations and marketing to deliver consolidated dashboards and ad hoc reporting for customer engagement and sales performance.
The QlikView implementation was configured to consume SQL-based data feeds and an enterprise data warehouse, with ETL orchestration and data modeling to support associative analysis and interactive sheet objects. QlikView dashboards, scripted data loads, and standardized data models were used to enable self-service exploration, operational reporting and cross-functional analytics consistent with Analytics and BI best practices.
Integrations and skills requirements reflected the project brief, which listed Data Warehouse, SQL and QlikView as core products and identified knowledge of SPSS, SAS and Adobe Campaign as advantageous for advanced analytics and campaign orchestration. Governance emphasized centralized data modeling in the data warehouse, role-based dashboard access and alignment of CRM and canvassing workflows to the new reporting layer, providing a single analytics fabric for Hemtex retail operations.
