In 2016, Hendricks Regional Health implemented Workday HCM to centralize Core HR functions for Human Resources across its 2,100 associate population in the United States. The engagement centers on ongoing design, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of the Workday HCM application with an emphasis on business process configuration and conditional logic based rules and validations to enforce HR workflows and approvals.
Workday HCM configuration work includes creation and maintenance of time off plans, administration of performance review templates and evaluator assignments, competency frameworks, and related process updates. Operational responsibilities extend to coordinating with internal and external business partners to develop or enhance systems, processes, and procedures, and acting as a liaison between Information Systems and end users. The program coordinates and executes surveys including Engagement, IHA, New Associate, and Exit Interview, troubleshoots day to day system functionality for departmental variances and job profile needs, and manages project activities related to Workday twice yearly HRIS updates by coordinating with departmental admin users, performing testing, documenting issues, and communicating resolutions.
Governance and rollout practices include contributing to communications and training plans and materials for end users, providing functional support to the HR team, and serving as a key contact for user inquiries and issue resolution. The role also drives continuous process improvement initiatives, documents project status and outcomes for stakeholders, and provides system level guidance to align Workday HCM with ongoing HR governance and operational priorities.

| Epic Systems | Legacy | EPIC EHR | Electronic Health Record | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, Hendricks Regional Health deployed EPIC EHR as its Electronic Health Record platform. The implementation supported point of care and administrative workflows at the Danville, Indiana site, with operational evidence showing Medical Assistants performing rooming and interview tasks, obtaining vital signs, phlebotomy, front office check in, phone triage, scheduling and data entry in the EPIC EMR system from October 2019 to August 2020. Hendricks Regional Health EPIC EHR Electronic Health Record integration into day to day patient intake demonstrates a convergence of clinical and registration functions under a single application.
EPIC EHR was configured to support clinical documentation and registration workflows typical of an Electronic Health Record, including vitals capture, visit rooming, order entry for phlebotomy and appointment scheduling. Medical Assistant activities align with role based access and charting templates within the system, indicating configuration for discrete data entry, structured notes, and scheduling queues to support front office and clinical staff interaction.
Operationally the deployment covered both clinical and administrative business functions, consolidating patient intake, check in, scheduling and basic point of care tasks into the EPIC EMR system. Governance emphasis is evident in standardized data entry processes and workflow sequencing for rooming, vitals and specimen collection, which were applied during the October 2019 to August 2020 operational period at the Danville site.

| Epic Systems | Legacy | Epic Clarity | Data Warehouse | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018 Hendricks Regional Health implemented Epic Clarity as a Data Warehouse to consolidate clinical and financial source data for enterprise reporting. The deployment of Epic Clarity established a central relational reporting store used to feed downstream analytics and regulatory extracts, and it sits at the core of the organization’s Business Intelligence Architecture.
Epic Clarity was configured to support operational reporting and analytic workflows, with Epic Crystal Reports and Slicer Dicer used for authoring ad hoc and operational clinical reports, and Microsoft Power BI used for developed dashboards and self service report consumption. The implementation includes traditional data warehouse components such as data modeling, stored procedures, extract transform load routines, and SQL Server based processing, with SSIS used to orchestrate extracts and transforms and SSRS used for scheduled report delivery.
Integrations include structured extracts from Epic Clarity and Epic Caboodle to populate analytic datasets and to produce feeds for external agencies, with explicit extracts developed for CMS and Leapfrog reporting. Operational coverage emphasizes clinical and financial analytics across service lines, including Orthopedics, Oncology, Cardiovascular and General Surgery, and supports business functions such as clinical analytics, financial reporting, strategic planning and business development.
Governance and rollout were led by the Senior Business Intelligence Architect who was responsible for overall design, development and implementation of the organization’s Business Intelligence Architecture and who led the organization in the implementation of Power BI for report development and self service reporting. Ongoing operational responsibilities documented in the environment include data engineering, ETL job maintenance, SQL performance tuning and support for external agency extracts to ensure continuity of regulatory reporting.
