SAP Legacy SAP Apparel and Footwear (SAP AFS) Retail Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2011 2011
In 2011, Himatsingka implemented SAP Apparel and Footwear (SAP AFS) on an SAP ECC 6.0 EHP-4 platform. The deployment targeted three legal entities in the Himatsingka Group, Himatsingka Seide, Himatsingka Linens, and Himatsingka Wovens, and supported the group’s retail and wholesale distribution operations across Asia, Europe and North America. The implementation leveraged the AFS Module Textile configuration to address textile-specific product flows and master data requirements. SAP Apparel and Footwear (SAP AFS) was configured for article and assortment management, season and style handling, size and color matrices, inventory visibility, and order-to-cash workflows. The deployment aligned with Retail Management requirements, focusing on merchandising, inventory and pricing workflows and adapting AFS master data models to upholstery, drapery and bed linen SKUs. Architecturally the solution was built on SAP ECC 6.0 EHP-4 with the AFS Module, enabling integrated transactional flows between merchandising, order management and manufacturing planning within the ECC landscape. Scope included business functions for design and product development, manufacturing operations, supply chain planning, and retail and wholesale distribution, reflecting the group’s vertically integrated model. Implementation cycles were organized to accommodate company-specific localization while preserving a common AFS configuration baseline. Governance emphasized centralized configuration management and multi-entity rollout controls, with iterative implementation cycles across the three companies. Process alignment workstreams standardized article lifecycle governance, merchandising-to-manufacturing handoffs, and order-to-cash and inventory processes across merchandising, manufacturing and distribution teams.
