ADP SmartCompliance was configured to manage payroll tax filing automation, jurisdiction registration, and compliance reporting, consistent with Payroll Tax Compliance functional expectations. Configuration work covered tax calculation rules, remittance scheduling, and reporting templates to support reconciliation of payroll records, approval of payroll journal entries, and month end accrual processes.
The ADP SmartCompliance implementation was integrated with Workday, ADP WorkForce Now, ADP Canada, and ADP Time and Attendance to preserve data integrity across time capture, workforce administration, and payroll processing. Operational coverage included expatriate payroll coordination, interaction with external auditors and tax agencies for filings, and coordination with the 401k plan administrator for annual audit support.
Governance and process transformation accompanied the rollout, including creation of a comprehensive process and procedure manual, policy and strategy implementation, calendars and schedules for on time payroll projects, and SOX compliance management.
