In 2017 Hologic implemented Kofax MarkView to automate core accounts payable workflows as part of its AP Automation stack. The deployment emphasized invoice capture, optical character recognition and electronic routing to support centralized invoice intake and approval processing for the Accounts Payable organization.
Kofax MarkView was configured to enforce three way and two way invoice matching workflows, and to orchestrate invoice approvals and exception routing. The implementation included invoice processing, automated matching logic, approval workflow configuration and payment file generation, with MarkView controlling routing and audit trail for vendor invoices.
The Kofax MarkView deployment integrated with Oracle for invoice matching and financial posting and with Concur and Concur Detect for audit of employee expense reports and policy compliance. Operational responsibilities included vendor communications, accounts payable processing, and coordination with payroll and timekeeping systems which were managed separately using ADP e-time and Payforce.
Governance changes emphasized adherence to corporate Accounts Payable policies and Federal Sunshine reporting requirements, with controls applied to Travel and Entertainment, PCARD and vendor purchase flows. Workflow redesign formalized approval chains and exception handling to centralize invoice validation and payment file uploads to banking channels.

| Businessolver | Legacy | Benefitsolver | Benefits Administration | HCM | n/a | 2014 | 2018 |
In 2014, Hologic implemented Benefitsolver as its Benefits Administration platform to support a global HRIS strategy led by HR and IS leadership. The deployment of Benefitsolver was part of a broader HR systems program that centralized benefits administration alongside existing Oracle E-Business Suite HR modules and Taleo Enterprise for talent acquisition, aligning tools to a single global HRIS roadmap.
Configuration work included standardizing benefits workflows and linking benefits events to compensation and performance processes, while HRIS teams also configured merit, equity, and bonus calculations in compensation modules. The HR organization hierarchy was developed to align HR and finance data for consistent headcount reporting, and Performance Management processes were reconfigured to start with the employee experience and to improve the user interface.
Integrations were defined, developed, and maintained between Oracle Human Resources E-Business Suite and downstream systems including Taleo, Benefitsolver, Motus, and ADP, supporting data flows across HR, Compensation, Performance, Benefits, and Talent Acquisition functions. Operational coverage was global, with coordination by an international HR coordinator and use of ServiceNow as the IS ticketing platform for a standardized global data entry process, while reporting used Polaris and QlikView QlikSense tools for HR analytics and trend identification.
Governance centered on data integrity and system controls, with monthly audit spreadsheets split across the HRIS team and international HR coordinator, routine patch testing, test audit controls, and preparation for external audits. Training materials and live WebEx and in person sessions were created for HR users to encourage proper system utilization, and vendor relationships were actively managed to ensure consistent configuration and processes across benefits administration and adjacent HR modules.

| Augury | Legacy | Augury Machine Health | Asset Performance Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, Hologic deployed Augury Machine Health as an Asset Performance Management solution at its 180,000ft2 medical device manufacturing facility in North America. The implementation targeted four AHUs and a population of 28 critical machines, and it was operated by a two person maintenance team. The project was introduced alongside an existing PdM program that previously relied on wired tablet data collection and outsourced diagnostic reports.
Augury Machine Health was implemented as a combination of continuous and portable diagnostics, delivering automatic machine diagnostics driven by machine learning models trained on vibration recordings to provide real time machine state insights. Functional capabilities included continuous vibration monitoring, automatic fault detection and diagnostic prioritization, and portable diagnostic validation workflows. The design emphasized continuous diagnostics rather than periodic sampling to shorten diagnostic turnaround and provide a site wide machine health view.
Operational coverage focused on plant maintenance and reliability functions at the single North America site, with instrumentation deployed on AHUs and other critical equipment to feed Augury Machine Health analytics. The system provided a unified operational view for maintenance staff and reliability engineers, replacing slow external reporting with on site continuous intelligence. No external system integrations were specified in the case material.
Governance and rollout prioritized rapid diagnostic coverage and reorientation of corrective maintenance workflows so that a two person maintenance team could act on prioritized alerts. Within the first week the system identified several critical issues, enabling faster intervention compared with the prior periodic PdM approach. The implementation directly addressed challenges of long diagnostic turnaround, lack of a site wide machine health view, and non scalable PdM costs.
Reported outcomes in the case study included avoided downtime and repair cost savings, with explicit program figures noted such as $212K and $20K. The deployment reduced lost hours and recovery overtime exposure, and lowered labor and new motor costs. The record links the Asset Performance Management deployment to overcoming unplanned downtime and high repair costs for Hologic’s critical equipment.
