In 2018, HomeTrust Bank implemented Fiserv Signature Bank Platform as its Core Banking system. The program targeted deposit operations and customer service processing under the SVP Deposit Operations Manager, who oversaw 37 employees across multiple departments and led the creation of Customer Care and Retail Care units.
The Fiserv Signature Bank Platform deployment emphasized core account processing, deposit product servicing, ACH and in-clearing item workflows, debit card posting coordination, and enhanced verification controls for HELOC check processing. Configuration work included account lifecycle rules, exception routing and case handling, and reporting and reconciliation functions consistent with Core Banking capabilities.
The rollout was executed as an 18 month core conversion program and involved deconversion from Fiserv Cleartouch Bank Platform, with direct collaboration between the Fiserv Signature core conversion team, ClearTouch deconversion teams, the bank IP unit and debit card representatives, culminating in a conversion cutover completed in February 2020. Operational coverage extended to deposit operations, item processing, and the customer call center where an IVR update, call routing changes and queue training were implemented to reduce daily call rep volume by 200 to 250 calls.
Governance and process restructuring were formalized within Deposit Operations to support career paths and tighter risk controls, including a new HELOC verification process that addressed check fraud and realized documented reductions in in clearing and ACH item fraud losses totaling more than $489,000. Ongoing responsibilities included streamlining business processes, improving reporting functions and maintaining operational oversight for deposit product risk and service complaint resolution.
