In 2021, Hub Group implemented Oracle Cloud ERP in a targeted ERP Financial deployment to consolidate core finance and procurement capabilities. The Oracle Cloud ERP implementation included Oracle Cloud Financials modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payables, iExpense, Sub-ledger Accounting, Accounts Receivables, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Fusion Tax, and Procure-to-Pay, aligning the application to finance and procurement processes for an asset-light freight transportation management business.
The project established foundational enterprise structures and master data, defining Legal Entities, Chart of Accounts, Ledgers, Business Units, and Reference Data Sets to support transaction flow and reporting. Payables configuration covered bank and payment system setup, payment process requests, and bank account definitions to enable bank statement reconciliations with Payables and Receivables. Fusion Tax was configured to automate tax calculation and reporting, including Geographies, Tax Regimes, Tax Rates and Rules for United States and Canada sales and withholding taxes.
Configuration and operational controls addressed security and consolidation, with custom roles, role provisioning, role privileges and segregation of duties workstreams to reduce role sprawl and simplify maintenance from seeded roles to custom roles and data access sets. The implementation included month end close activities across GL, AP, AR, FA and Lease Management modules, and Sub-ledger Accounting workflows to support statutory and management closing processes.
Data conversion and testing were core execution tracks, using FBDI, ADFDI and file-based uploads for data migration and OTBI, FRS and Smart View for reporting and reconciliation. Test planning and issue management covered test case development, system testing, system integration testing and user acceptance testing, with defects tracked and reported using JIRA, SharePoint and Rational Clear Quest. Application setup was documented throughout the engagement to support operational handoff and ongoing finance and procurement governance.

| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle Cloud HCM Benefits | Benefits Administration | HCM | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018 Hub Group implemented Oracle Cloud HCM Benefits within a Benefits Administration program to modernize HR operations across the company. The Oracle Cloud HCM Benefits implementation was part of a coordinated Oracle Fusion HCM cloud service deployment that aligned benefits administration with broader HCM objectives.
The implementation configured Oracle Cloud HCM Benefits alongside Oracle Fusion HCM modules for core HR, Payroll, Recruiting, and Learning Management, enabling standardized benefits enrollment, eligibility rule configuration, life event processing, and benefits data exchange with payroll. Configuration work emphasized benefits administration workflows, role-based access for HR and benefits teams, and centralized benefits data models to support downstream HR processes.
Architecturally the solution was deployed into Oracle cloud as part of a wider cloud migration strategy, and the application delivery team positioned Oracle Cloud HCM Benefits to integrate with other enterprise systems supported by the team. Integrations and adjacent systems included Oracle ERP Cloud for financial and payroll interfaces, FileNet and Datacap for document management and records retention, Riskonnect for claims handling, and Legal Tracker for legal case support as part of the overall application landscape.
Governance and rollout were led by Hub Group’s Director, Applications and coordinated with the CIO and IT leadership, using a centralized application delivery team to support Front Office and Back Office groups. The program included vendor lifecycle management for cloud accounts and instance provisioning, collaboration between IT and HR on policy and process alignment, and security governance established by the company security team to enforce access controls and standard operating procedures.
The implementation was delivered as part of a company-wide modernization effort and explicitly targeted replacement of manual HR processes, converting benefits administration tasks into configured, cloud-based workflows. Oracle Cloud HCM Benefits serves as the benefits administration backbone within Hub Group’s Oracle Fusion HCM footprint and the broader Benefits Administration strategy.

In 2018, Hub Group deployed IBM Netezza Data Warehouse to centralize enterprise analytics and reporting for its transportation operations. The IBM Netezza Data Warehouse implementation served as Hub Group's primary Data Warehouse platform, consolidating structured operational feeds and historical shipment records to support cross functional analysis and standardized reporting.
The deployment leveraged IBM Netezza appliance style architecture and analytic processing to support high throughput SQL analytics and bulk ETL workloads, aligning with common Data Warehouse design patterns. Functional capabilities implemented included batch data ingestion pipelines, analytic SQL engines, columnar storage and workload management to support concurrent reporting and ad hoc analysis.
Operational coverage emphasized enterprise reporting for operations, logistics planning and finance, with integration points oriented around upstream ETL processes and downstream BI consumption. Governance activities centered on centralized data schemas, dimensional modeling, scheduled extract transform load workflows and role based access controls to manage data stewardship and reporting rollout.
