Sage Legacy Sage 300 ERP (formerly Accpac) ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2019 2019
In 2019, Hungry Lion implemented Sage 300 ERP (formerly Accpac) to support ERP Financial activities across its payroll and finance workflows for employees in South Africa, Zambia and Angola. The deployment focused on payroll and employee financial data management, positioning Sage 300 ERP as the system of record for personnel status changes, salary adjustments and final settlements. The implementation emphasized end to end payroll processing capabilities, using Sage 300 ERP to capture employee master data, process mandatory deductions, and manage holiday, sick and unauthorised leave workflows. Payroll functions included imports of hours, reconciliation of under and over payments, processing of court ordered deductions and coordination of UIF, pension and provident fund documentation, reflecting standard ERP Financial payroll and compliance modules. Sage 300 ERP was operated in conjunction with an in house clocking system and monitored alongside the organisations in house GAAP system to import employee hours and validate timekeeping data prior to payroll runs. Operational coverage extended across regional payroll processing for South African, Zambian and Angolan headcount, and integrations were limited to the explicitly stated in house time capture systems and external statutory processes for UIF and pension fund submissions. Governance and process controls were formalised through quality checks of employment packs, structured processing of status changes including transfers and terminations, and monthly reporting of headcount and salary costings to Finance Management. The configuration and operating procedures ensured timely payouts and movement of monies for leavers and active employees, and required adherence to internal payroll policies and applicable national corporate law.
