In 2018, Hunt Oil Company implemented Peloton Wellview as its Drilling Operations Management application to centralize well records and drilling workflows. The deployment was targeted at operational wellbore data capture and event reporting across the companys E&P organization, positioning Peloton Wellview as the core drilling operations system within Hunt Oil's application landscape.
Configuration work emphasized wellbore and drilling operations data capture, event and daily reporting, and integrations for inventory and document workflows. The team executed an OpenInvoice project connecting WellView data via a REST API, and built a SharePoint Online web application designed to replace commercial inventory management software, demonstrating direct ties between Peloton Wellview and inventory/document management functions. Data cleanup activities were conducted for WellView records to improve downstream consistency.
Integrations were explicit and cross functional, including a Peloton Wellview to SiteView linkage for electric power, pipelines, facilities, and water tracking, and an iManage Web API download workflow to support subpoenas. The implementation existed alongside coordinated upgrades and data synchronization efforts involving P2 Merrick, IHS Kingdom, Petra, Fekete Harmony, Eclipse, Techlog, Esri GIS, Drillinginfo, Aries, Trango, and other E&P applications, enabling Peloton Wellview to serve as a central operational source for drilling records and related asset tracking.
Operational governance and application services were administered by an E&P Application Analyst in Dallas, Texas from January 2020 to December 2023 who managed file, FTP, database, and Citrix servers and project-managed multiple application upgrades. Governance activities included configuration control, API based automation projects, and cross application data cleanup to standardize workflows for drilling operations and document retrieval.
