In 2021 Hydro Ottawa deployed Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne as its ERP Financial platform to establish a code current pathway and address immediate security, compliance, and billing issues. The engagement was driven by an overdue Tools Release 2, the need to remediate a contract service billing defect related to Electrical Service Units ESUs, and the presence of disparate nonintegrated systems across the organization.
ERP-One was engaged for JDE Managed Services and prepared a detailed Impact Analysis that guided targeted retrofitting and a technical uplift. The Impact Analysis informed configuration changes and remediation steps within Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, and the program was scoped to minimize infrastructure change while bringing the environment to a supported Tools Release level. The client retained ERP-One Managed Services for Tier 3 support during testing to stabilize the upgrade and validate remediation of the ESU billing workflow.
Operational coverage focused on core financial and billing functions with explicit attention to security and compliance controls. Retrofitting work addressed integration gaps between previously disparate systems and the ERP Financial instance, aligning contract service billing processes with JD Edwards transactional and accounting modules. The implementation avoided replacement of existing infrastructure through targeted software and configuration changes, keeping disruption to a minimum.
Governance was oriented toward continuous delivery, with the outcome that Hydro Ottawa is now on a scheduled path for future Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne upgrades to remain code current. The project was completed with minimal operational disruption and without new infrastructure procurement, and the organization is positioned to adopt Orchestrator to remove remaining customizations in future release cycles.

| Workday | Legacy | Workday Absence Management | Absence and Leave Management | HCM | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016 Hydro Ottawa implemented Workday Absence Management as part of a broader Workday Phase 1 deployment. Workday Absence Management is part of the Absence and Leave Management category and was configured alongside HCM, Compensation, Payroll, Time Tracking, Benefits, Recruiting and Safety to align absence workflows with pay, time capture and benefits processing.
The implementation work included detailed business process configuration and extensive testing across interrelated modules, plus complex data conversion efforts that achieved high accuracy. Integrations were built to JD Edwards and the program later expanded integrations with OIM and the benefits provider, using enterprise integration builders within Workday to automate data exchange. Operational coverage centered on HR, payroll and benefits functions, accompanied by establishment of an HR Service Centre, training programs, job aids and formalized business process and security configurations, with ongoing analysis of Workday releases, condition rules, calculated fields and notifications to govern the Absence and Leave Management solution.
