| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Accounts Payable (AP) | AP Automation | ERP | n/a | 2008 | 2008 |
Hyundai India implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Accounts Payable (AP) in 2008 as its AP Automation solution, replacing a legacy accounts-payable system. This implementation built on an earlier mySAP.com e-business adoption (financials, HR, SCM) and centralized SAP financial processing for the organization’s manufacturing and corporate finance functions.
The deployment covered core FI submodules and AP-specific functionality: GL integration, AR and Asset Accounting (AA) touchpoints, automatic account determination, chart of accounts updates, profit-center and cost-center setup, vendor and customer master creation, and execution of the Automatic Payment Program. The AP landscape was integrated with billing/document flows (VFX3 release of billing documents and VF31 output processing), cross-company-code accounting, financial closing cockpit, depreciation runs and recurring payment jobs to support month-end close. Hyundai retained consultant support (production support role, Chennai) from June 2016 onward to resolve day-to-day GL/AP/AR/AA issues, update configuration (automatic account determination), prepare end-user documentation, and coordinate provision entries and month-end activities across business users.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP HCM (HR) | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2010 | 2010 |
In 2010, Hyundai India implemented SAP HCM (HR) as its Core HR platform. The deployment targeted HR and payroll operations across Hyundai Motor India Limited's manufacturing footprint in Sriperumbudur and the second plant commissioned in 2008, and supported the company's broader Indian workforce of approximately 5,672 employees including dealer and service point operations.
SAP HCM (HR) was configured to provide standard Core HR functionality, including personnel administration and payroll processing. The implementation also included organizational management, time and absence administration, and workforce master data management, with customizations to align HR processes to plant level workforce structures and employee lifecycle workflows.
The SAP HCM deployment was integrated into HMIL's existing SAP landscape on the mySAP.com platform, interfacing with SAP Financials and SAP supply chain modules. Those integrations enabled payroll postings, statutory reporting feeds and employee cost allocation across profit centers and cost centers tied to manufacturing sites and dealer operations.
Operational governance emphasized production support and structured change control, with responsibilities that included end user manuals, super user coordination and direct client interaction for day to day issue resolution. Configuration updates for automatic account determination, recurring job execution, and alignment of month end closing activities with HR payroll and provisioning processes were part of the ongoing support and operational model.
