Converga Legacy Converga InvoiceMe AP Automation ERP Financial Management n/a 2015 2015
In 2015 Insurance Australia Group implemented Converga InvoiceMe as part of an AP Automation initiative to strengthen accounts payable processing and invoice lifecycle management within finance. The deployment targeted accounts payable and procurement adjacent workflows, positioning Converga InvoiceMe to handle supplier invoice capture, validation and automated approval routing consistent with AP Automation capabilities. Converga InvoiceMe was configured to support automated invoice processing workflows, exception handling and user role based approvals, with emphasis on training end users in accounts payable and procurement functions. The implementation included configuration of invoice ingestion and approval queues, and classroom and operational training to prepare finance, procurement and helpdesk teams for live operations. Implementation activities ran alongside a migration workstream in which Westfarmers accounts payable identified as Converga and a credit card system called FlexiPurchase were moved into the IAG system Ariba, requiring close liaison with procurement, accounts payable, finance, business change and helpdesk stakeholders. Rollout governance focused on cutover coordination, migrating pending payments, issuing new credit cards as required, communicating cutover dates and providing post go live support to stabilize AP Automation processes.

SAP Legacy SAP Fieldglass Contingent Labor Management HCM n/a 2015 2015
In 2015, Insurance Australia Group implemented SAP Fieldglass as its Contingent Labor Management application. The deployment established a centralized contingent workforce control point within Procurement Services, with direct analytics support to Category Managers and the Metrics and Analytics analyst role that operated from November 2016 to October 2018. Configuration emphasized contingent workforce lifecycle and requisition workflows, supplier engagement, and timesheet to billing orchestration consistent with Contingent Labor Management capabilities. SAP Fieldglass was configured to capture worker engagements, job requisitions, supplier assignments, and timesheet approvals to create an auditable contingent labor record for procurement oversight. Integrations were a core element, the implementation was linked into IAGs procurement data ecosystem to collate spend data from SAP, ARIBA, STROBE, and EMS into a centralized Spend Datahub. The Spend Datahub aggregated vendor master information and categorised suppliers, enabling consolidated spend analytics across business units and providing Category Managers with consolidated expenditure and trend analysis. Governance and operating model changes centered on centralizing procurement reporting and establishing a single source of procurement data and insights. Documented internal outcomes include designing and implementing the Spend Datahub, cleaning SAP vendor data and building a vendor database, delivering monthly, quarterly, biannually and yearly reporting, and using Fieldglass and spend insights to advise ARIBA buying processes and procurement conversations with vendors.
