In 2016, ICAT implemented Microsoft 365 as its primary Collaboration platform. The US-based specialty insurer with roughly 300 employees deployed Microsoft 365 to centralize cloud email and team collaboration across corporate functions.
Implementation included provisioning Office 365 Mail for external-facing email as referenced on ICAT's website and configuring core Microsoft 365 collaboration services including enterprise email and calendaring, cloud file storage and document sharing workflows. The deployment configured user mailboxes and public-facing mail routing while enabling document collaboration and version control features native to Microsoft 365. The architecture was built around a cloud-hosted Microsoft 365 tenant model with centralized administration and management of collaboration services.
Operational coverage extended to underwriting, claims support, and administrative teams with governance centered on user provisioning, mailbox governance, and access control policies. Rollout activities focused on tenant configuration, mailbox provisioning and standardizing collaboration workflows across departments. Ongoing operational controls emphasized secure mailbox configuration and centralized administration of Microsoft 365 services.

In 2023, ICAT deployed DocuSign eSignature as a Digital Signing solution on its corporate website to enable customer facing signature workflows for insurance contracts, policy documents, and consent forms. The DocuSign eSignature implementation exposes embedded signing flows and signing links directly to external customers via the public site, aligning the application with customer engagement and document execution use cases central to insurance distribution and policy issuance. ICAT DocuSign eSignature Digital Signing supports a standard web based signing channel rather than internal desktop signing patterns.
Configuration emphasized template management, signer authentication controls, envelope level audit trails, and metadata capture to support compliance and recordkeeping. The DocuSign eSignature deployment was embedded into the website using common integration patterns, enabling server side envelope creation and client side embedded signing while providing administrative access based on roles to manage templates and recipient routing. Governance work focused on template lifecycle, access rights, and retention of signing records, with operational ownership assigned to web operations and business document owners for ongoing template and process stewardship.
