In 2015 Imo's Holding Company deployed SAP Business One as its ERP Financial platform during a company reorganization and infrastructure construction initiative. The deployment of SAP Business One was executed in parallel with a new warehouse management system, a new E-Commerce system and a new point of sale system to streamline warehouse and logistic processes and to facilitate B2B and B2C transactions, and the controller negotiated the software purchases and led the implementation and employee training.
The implementation centered on financial and transactional configuration within SAP Business One, including standardized accounting procedures, financial reporting and a financial analysis dashboard, and pricing controls and worksheets to enforce standard pricing procedures. Inventory and warehousing workflows were coordinated with the new WMS to align stock movement and order fulfillment controls with ERP Financial inventory records, and sales order to cash and procurement workflows were configured to support retail and wholesale operations.
Operational scope included Finance, Warehousing, Pricing, Sales and broader operations, with the controller establishing a professional finance department, hiring and training staff, and creating standardized operating procedures for warehousing, pricing and accounting. Governance and rollout were led internally by the controller, who designed the organizational reorganization, directed system configuration and training, and integrated SAP Business One with the WMS, E-Commerce and POS to create consistent transactional and reporting flows across the business.
