The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 deployment was implemented as a green field BASIS-led landscape, with operating system Windows 2008 and MS-SQL 2008 for the database tier. Platform activities included SAP BI and ERP system copies on Windows virtual servers, configuration of SAP performance parameters prior to go-live, and application of support packs and SAP service tool updates across the environment. Operational architecture and resilience workstreams included setup and maintenance of SAP disaster recovery using MS SQL log shipping, design and execution of an MS SQL backup plan covering more than 50 SAP servers, and updating SAP router entries for remote connectivity. The team reconfigured Solution Manager EWA reporting after support stack updates and performed CRM business partner archiving using the SARA tool as part of lifecycle maintenance. Governance and runbook practices were formalized through change request handling aligned to SOX standards, daily and monthly SAP system health checks submitted to business and security teams for external audit and SLA verification, and periodic SAP user license reviews using USMM and SLAW across 30 plus systems. The engagement included vendor liaison for business critical issues, use of Remedy and HP QC tools for issue tracking, and knowledge transfer activities to onboard new operations staff to independent SAP system administration.

The program also embedded ongoing testing practices through development and execution of test scripts for SAP maintenance and upgrades, and designated specialist HRIS support roles to maintain data integrity and sustain integration synchronization between systems.

Operational integration encompassed SAP ECC 6.0, CRM, SRM 7.0, PO 7.3, NWDI 7.0, GRC and Solution Manager 7.1, positioning SAP BusinessObjects to consume ERP and CRM data for enterprise reporting. On site work in Perth included system copies, CRM business partner archiving via SARA, and coordination with third party vendors to resolve business critical issues. Day to day operations incorporated SAP user license checks using USMM and SLAW, and use of Remedy and HP QC tools for issue management and test tracking. Governance and operational processes were formalized through change request adherence and SOX compliant change controls, along with daily and monthly SAP system health checks delivered to business and security teams for audit and SLA purposes. The BASIS team also onboarded and coached new members to perform system activities independently, embedding operational runbook practices for the Analytics and BI environment.
