| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle PeopleSoft Payables | AP Automation | ERP | n/a | 2012 | 2012 |
In 2012 Intermountain Health implemented Oracle PeopleSoft Payables as part of a multi-year PeopleSoft rollout, with initial PeopleSoft 9.1 work completed between 2012 and 2014. The implementation is categorized under AP Automation and was delivered alongside Financial Management and Supply Chain Management modules, establishing core accounts payable workflows and shared master data common to FMS and SCM functionality.
Oracle PeopleSoft Payables was configured to support standard AP Automation capabilities including invoice capture and processing, voucher lifecycle management, supplier record management, and payment orchestration within the PeopleSoft suite. The environment was maintained on PeopleSoft releases, progressing from 9.1 to PeopleSoft 9.2 with PUM 25, reflecting an application lifecycle approach to functional configuration and periodic platform updates.
Architecture and platform evolution are explicit in Intermountain Health planning, with a stated future project to implement Oracle Cloud Infrastructure OCI and to update to PUM 32 Tools 8.57. These platform initiatives indicate a move to modernize application hosting and to align PeopleSoft patching cadence with Oracle Update Manager practices, while retaining Oracle PeopleSoft Payables as the AP Automation core.
Operational scope spans finance and supply chain functions across Intermountain Health, and governance has included scheduled PUM updates and toolset upgrades as part of ongoing application stewardship. The program received a PeopleSoft Innovators Award in 2018, signaling recognized operational maturity of the PeopleSoft deployments and sustained investment in PeopleSoft-based AP Automation.

| Workday | Legacy | Workday HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, Intermountain Healthcare implemented Workday HCM, deploying a Core HR solution to support HR administration across its approximately 64,000 employees. The program was led by the Director of Business Applications Technology and executed via a combined onshore and offshore technical team responsible for development, integrations, and ongoing support.
Workday HCM was configured to deliver core workforce records, position management, benefits administration, and talent management capabilities aligned with Core HR functional workflows. Implementation work emphasized data conversion to establish worker profiles, organizational hierarchies, security roles, and role-based access controls to mirror hospital and clinic operational units, and Workday HCM was positioned as the primary system of record for employee lifecycle processes.
Integrations were central to the architecture, with a dedicated team of five onshore Workday integration developers building interfaces to PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management, Oracle ERP Cloud, and identity services including Oracle Identity Management, as documented by internal leadership. The program coordinated technical efforts with implementation partner PwC and maintained interoperability with workforce systems such as UKG WFC and UKG Dimensions, using staged data conversion and API-style integration patterns to link clinical, payroll, and financial domains.
Governance and operational ownership remained within the Business Applications technology organization, with formalized change control, stakeholder relationship management, and ongoing maintenance processes. The configuration and integration backlog continued to be managed by the onshore/offshore teams to support clinic and hospital HR operations and to sustain the Workday HCM environment.

| Epic Systems | Legacy | Epic ASAP | Clinical Trial Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2022 | 2022 |
In 2022, Intermountain Health implemented Epic ASAP for Clinical Trial Management. The deployment was executed as part of an enterprise Epic optimization and build program that explicitly included Ambulatory, ClinDoc, Optime/Anesthesia and ASAP modules, along with multiple third party interfaced applications, to align clinical operations with study workflows and point of care documentation.
Epic ASAP was configured to support Clinical Trial Management functional workflows such as protocol orchestration, patient scheduling and enrollment tracking, and integration of consent and study documentation into ClinDoc. Configuration and build work was led by a senior Epic application analyst acting as project manager and lead build analyst for enterprise and nursing division priority initiatives, with targeted system optimization and rebuild of application hierarchy to reduce complexity.
Integrations were implemented between Epic ASAP and the broader Epic suite modules Ambulatory, ClinDoc and Optime/Anesthesia, plus external third party interfaced applications, enabling cross-application data flow and operational continuity. Operational scope covered enterprise-level initiatives, nursing division priorities and Community Connect ambulatory project teams, with continuous collaboration among health informaticists, end-users, application teams and project managers to align workflows.
Governance and process changes were driven by an enterprise overhaul that consolidated workflow engine rules from over 150 to 1 and rebuilt the Epic hierarchy to simplify rule management, with the senior analyst serving as an expert mentor for analyst teams. These efforts focused on optimizing clinical tooling and improving efficiency in Clinical Trial Management operations while maintaining application governance and build standards.
