In 2018 Iplom deployed IBM Maximo as its central Enterprise Asset Management application at the Busalla, Liguria site. The deployment was active from February 2018 to August 2018 and was used alongside corporate databases including Microsoft Access and IBM Maximo to support field work in ATEX classified areas. IBM Maximo was positioned to manage electrical maintenance workflows and act as the primary system for documenting maintenance activities.
Configuration work emphasized maintenance management for electrical network equipment and included work order management for electric motor maintenance, tracking of electrical protection systems, and the development and updating of stop work procedures. Functional workflows implemented mirrored standard Enterprise Asset Management patterns, with work order lifecycle control, asset records for electrical equipment, and scheduling to support planned plant shutdown activities. The implementation supported maintenance assistance during general plant shutdowns and routine electrician tasks.
Operational coverage centered on the electrical maintenance function, with departmental technicians and external contractors coordinating through IBM Maximo and corporate data held in Microsoft Access. The system was used on site in Busalla and supported collaborative execution of shutdown tasks, assignment of maintenance activities, and responsibility for closing works. Integration between IBM Maximo and existing corporate databases facilitated data capture and operational handoffs between teams.
Governance and procedural work accompanied the technical deployment, with contributors collaborating on internal management procedures for the electricity network and on the development of maintenance management systems specific to electrical assets. Responsibility for closing works and maintaining procedural documentation was assigned to site personnel, ensuring IBM Maximo served as the documented record for electrical maintenance activities.

In 2022, Iplom implemented Cloudflare CDN. The deployment positioned Cloudflare CDN as the Content Delivery Network fronting Iplom's corporate website, routing DNS and HTTP traffic through Cloudflare's edge network to the company's origin web servers. The scope covered customer-facing web publishing and public asset delivery for the https://www.iplom.it website.
Configuration emphasized edge caching, HTTP cache controls, TLS termination and standard CDN controls, with page rules and caching policies applied to static assets and media. The architecture leverages Cloudflare's global edge points of presence to reduce origin load and add network-layer protections commonly associated with Content Delivery Network platforms, while governance assigned web team ownership for caching policies and iterative rule tuning during rollout. Iplom Cloudflare CDN Content Delivery Network supports web publishing and customer-facing digital delivery.
