In 2018, JD.ID implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial system to centralize accounting and reporting across the main entity and its subsidiaries operating under JD.ID. The rollout focused on consolidating and analyzing financial statements and establishing a single financial application footprint to support corporate reporting obligations in Indonesia and reporting to the headquarters, investors, and regulatory bodies.
The implementation configured core financial modules within Oracle E-Business Suite, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, cash management for monthly cashflow reporting, and inventory controls to support periodic stock take activities. Configuration work included transaction level controls, chart of accounts alignment for consolidation, and financial statement mapping to enable consistent month end close and consolidated reporting.
Operational coverage centered on the accounting function, where the system supported day to day transaction processing, review and management workflows for the accounting team, and audit readiness tasks. The project included assisting in migration from a manual accounting system to Oracle ERP system, and establishing reporting outputs to deliver data and reports to management, the headquarter office, investors, and regulatory bodies.
Governance and process transformation emphasized improved control, quality, and standard operating procedures in accounting workflows, facilitation of audit processes and coordination with auditors, and providing finance related consultation and business support to other departments. The Oracle E-Business Suite deployment served as the ERP Financial core for JD.ID, enabling structured financial operations, centralized oversight, and standardized reporting across entities.
