| SAP | Legacy | SAP Concur Invoice | AP Automation | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, JPMorgan Chase implemented SAP Concur Invoice as part of a broader AP Automation deployment that also included Concur Expense and Concur Intelligence. The implementation is positioned within the AP Automation category and was deployed alongside Concur Expense and Concur Intelligence to create an integrated invoice and expense processing stack.
The SAP Concur Invoice deployment emphasized standard invoice processing capabilities, including electronic invoice capture, automated approval routing, PO and non-PO invoice workflows, and exception handling. Configuration work focused on workflow orchestration across cost centers and supplier invoice submission channels, while Concur Intelligence provided consolidated reporting and analytics on invoice and expense data.
Architecturally the solution was delivered as a cloud SaaS configuration of SAP Concur Invoice, with functional integration to the Concur Expense and Concur Intelligence modules to support reconciliation and visibility across payables and employee spend. Operational coverage targeted JPMorgan Chase operations in New York, covering the employee population noted in the project context at 250,000, and impacted finance, accounts payable, and procurement functions.
Governance centered on centralized AP policy enforcement and standardized approval workflows, with phased rollout across AP teams and configuration controls to manage exceptions and supplier onboarding. The implementation narrative emphasizes platform consolidation within the SAP Concur suite, process standardization for invoice handling, and enterprise reporting integration through Concur Intelligence.

| Oracle | UKG Workforce Central Absence Manager (ex Kronos Workforce Absence Manager) | Oracle Absence Management | Absence and Leave Management | HCM | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020, JPMorgan Chase implemented Oracle Absence Management to address Absence and Leave Management across its enterprise. The engagement encompassed Oracle HCM Time, Labor and Absence modules as the functional foundation for timekeeping, leave tracking and absence policy enforcement.
The deployment focused on core Absence and Leave Management capabilities, including configured absence request workflows, accrual and balance management, manager approval routing, and compliance-oriented reporting. Oracle Absence Management and the associated Oracle HCM Time and Labor modules were configured to support standard leave types, eligibility rules and time-entry reconciliation workflows common to large financial services payroll and HR operations.
The program replaced UKG Workforce Central Absence Manager, formerly Kronos Workforce Absence Manager, and included explicit systems integration testing and training design. The team conceptualized the design and strategy for training 162,000 employees and onboarding 12 systems integration testers on Oracle HCM Time, Labor and Absence modules, indicating enterprise-wide operational coverage that touched HR, payroll and line management processes.
Governance emphasized coordinated testing and centralized training governance, with a formalized systems integration testing cohort of 12 testers and a scalable learning approach for the broader employee population. The narrative centers on implementation architecture and operational rollout mechanics for Oracle Absence Management within JPMorgan Chase, framed by large-scale training and integration testing requirements.

| Broadcom | Legacy | AppWorx Workload Automation | Business Process Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016 JPMorgan Chase deployed AppWorx Workload Automation as a central scheduling and orchestration component within a Business Process Management program. AppWorx Workload Automation was used to instrument recurring batch workflows and to coordinate job execution across application servers and data tiers.
The implementation focused on job scheduling components and batch orchestration, including creation of AppWorx scheduling components to run jobs at specified times and a price change batch job that used the existing multithreading batch framework and RODB/DAO data layer. Functional capabilities implemented included Retail Operation and reports modules, RPPC web services, and backend APIs to support support team tooling and a demographic smartphone application. The work also included Managed Bean creation, pom.xml configuration, and integration of AppWorx job logic with application-level multithreading and DB sync processes.
AppWorx scheduling was integrated into a broader stack that included MS SQL Server 2008 for persistence, JBoss application servers for runtime, Jenkins and Maven for build and CI automation, Spring Boot microservices and Pivotal Cloud Foundry for cloud deployment patterns, and MapQuest geocode service for address normalization. The environment also leveraged AWS platform services such as EC2, EBS, ELB, IAM, Lambda, S3, Route 53, CloudFormation, Elastic Beanstalk, VPC, RDS and CloudWatch for hosting, identity, automation and monitoring of scheduled workloads.
Governance and operational controls were established through SCCM aligned build and deployment practices, converting more than 60 projects to Maven, creating Jenkins jobs for artifact builds and deployments, and configuring IAM profiles and policies for user access and limits. Automation of administrative tasks was implemented with AWS Lambda and CI/CD pipelines were managed through Jenkins, while application architecture work reduced unnecessary JBoss instances to improve production performance and support high availability across availability zones and regions.
Explicit outcomes tied to the implementation included an improved purchase order process achieved by the price change batch process that was described as benefiting customers and the business, and measurable production performance improvements from removing unnecessary JBoss application server instances. AppWorx Workload Automation served as the scheduling backbone tying batch processes, web services, and cloud operational tooling together within JPMorgan Chase's Business Process Management landscape.
