| ADP | Legacy | ADP SmartCompliance | Payroll Tax Compliance | HCM | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017, Jump Trading implemented ADP SmartCompliance for Payroll Tax Compliance. The deployment supported a global payroll footprint covering semi-monthly US payroll run in Workday and monthly international payrolls across approximately 15 countries, serving more than 900 employees including local hires and expatriates, with continuous auditing to ensure accuracy and operational efficiency.
ADP SmartCompliance was configured as the central tax compliance and filing control point, handling quarterly 941 and state and local filing reviews, withholding tax discrepancy identification, and preparation and filing of tax amendments such as 941-X. The implementation supported month-end payroll reporting and direct assistance to the finance team for general ledger booking and balancing, while also underpinning year-end tax form preparation and distribution processes for multiple jurisdictions, including US W-2, UK P60 and P11D, and Singapore IR8A.
Architecturally, ADP SmartCompliance operated alongside Workday for US payroll processing and alongside a newly implemented international payroll system that consolidated monthly processing into a single platform for global payroll runs. The environment required ongoing coordination with external US and international payroll providers to synchronize filings and tax document distributions, and it was used to complete annual workers compensation audits for various legal entities across jurisdictions.
Governance was structured around continuous audit workflows, quarterly filing review routines, and an established amendment and remediation process, with dedicated touchpoints between payroll, finance, and external providers during month-end close. The program emphasized role efficiency and process improvement, with teams continuously identifying opportunities to streamline tasks and enhance accuracy.
The implementation explicitly included the rollout of a new international payroll system to reduce international payroll processing time and migrate processing into one system, and ADP SmartCompliance functioned as the enterprise tax compliance layer supporting those consolidated payroll operations.

The architecture follows a cloud-hosted SaaS tenant model with centralized identity and access management, supporting browser and native clients across corporate networks. Operational coverage is enterprise-wide for Jump Trading, enabling collaboration functions for trading, research and corporate teams through shared mailboxes, team spaces, and synchronized file libraries.
Governance is applied at the tenant level through role-based administration, content lifecycle controls and policy-based access to align Collaboration usage with IT management and internal compliance requirements. The public website reference to Microsoft 365 suggests tenant-level provisioning is integrated with external presence, such as authenticated access or hosted content surfaced from the Microsoft 365 environment.
