In 2019 Keenan Property Management implemented Sage 50 as its ERP Financial system to centralize accounting, client ledger management, and transaction posting for its Dublin operations. Sage 50 is used to maintain nominal ledger structure and to manage core accounting workflows across the company’s block management and letting and selling property businesses.
The Sage 50 deployment focuses on accounts payable, accounts receivable, client accounting, bank reconciliation, and invoice processing modules consistent with an ERP Financial application. Keenan configures landlord and client nominal codes in Sage 50, posts tenant receipts and landlord disbursements to KPM client accounts, and produces trial balance and periodic reconciliations from the nominal ledger.
Operationally transactions originate in App Blockman for block management and in App Letman for letting and selling activity, and those transactions are entered and reconciled in Sage 50 on a regular cadence. The accounting team performs monthly reconciliations for block accounts, weekly reconciliations for the KPM client account, weekly cheque and cash lodgements with an accompanying spreadsheet record, and daily online banking transfers for management fees and commissions as part of its cash management flows.
Governance and workflow changes center on the accounting function and the account assistant role, which maintains landlord and tenant details, issues invoices to blocks, updates payments to the KPM main account, responds to manager and director reporting requests, and produces ad hoc financial reports. Reconciliation and voucher controls, cheque run procedures, and regular reporting to block managers and directors are embedded in the Sage 50 driven accounting processes.
