In 2017, Kinder Morgan implemented Infor Lawson as an ERP Financial platform to centralize financial and procurement data across six business units. The deployment emphasized business process standardization and operational reporting, and standard operating procedures for Infor Lawson were documented to govern day to day use and support consistency across teams.
Infor Lawson was configured to support core financial workflows and procurement analytics, including general ledger, accounts payable, procurement spend analysis, bid analysis, and executive dashboards. Development work included complex report and dashboard creation, SQL script development, MS Access data transformation, commodity cost modeling, and forecast analysis to support procurement strategy and senior management decision making.
Integrations explicitly included market and counterparty monitoring tools, with Bloomberg and Credit Risk Monitor used to surface supplier performance issues into procurement reporting. Operational coverage spanned all six business units, the central Technology Team that provided data management and ad hoc reporting, and procurement and finance stakeholders who consumed KPIs and analytical outputs.
Governance and process changes were enforced through documented SOPs for Infor Lawson and an ongoing cadence of KPI reporting to senior management. The program tracked procurement key performance indicators, cost savings and spending tiers achieved, and maintained supplier performance monitoring as part of routine operational oversight.

| Infor | Legacy | Infor Lawson HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016, Kinder Morgan implemented Infor Lawson HCM as its Core HR application to support HR and payroll functions across the enterprise. The rollout encompassed Security and Application support across Infor Lawson ERP modules including Procurement, HR/Payroll, and Financial Suites, addressing needs of procurement, accounting, and HR/payroll user communities.
Infor Lawson HCM was configured and administered through Smart Office and Ming Le user interfaces, with explicit work on IPA process flow development and process automation for HR and payroll workflows. The implementation required routine testing of system patches, documentation and testing of functionality, and troubleshooting of application security issues specific to the Lawson environment.
Operational integrations included work with Oracle data objects for data access and persistence, and support for the company timekeeping solution HBS, Huntington Business Systems, for employee time capture and payroll input. Day to day operations involved coordination with application users, departmental liaisons, and institutional IT teams such as PC Field Support, training, and networking groups to maintain service continuity.
Governance and change management were formalized through Change Control processes, including opening and closing Lawson cases with INFOR Lawson Global support and following controlled procedures to implement changes. Support responsibilities combined application administration, security administration, process flow maintenance, and structured incident management for the Core HR landscape.

| IBM | Legacy | IBM Maximo | Enterprise Asset Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2016 | 2017 |
In 2016 Kinder Morgan deployed IBM Maximo as an Enterprise Asset Management solution at its Argo, Illinois terminal to support day to day terminal operations and regulated energy handling activities. The implementation was tied to operational metrics for the terminal, which processed approximately $500K per month in throughput revenue while operating with roughly $60K per month in OPEX, and it focused on centralized asset and maintenance control for a complex chemical transfer and bulk handling environment.
IBM Maximo was configured to support core Enterprise Asset Management capabilities including work order management, preventive maintenance scheduling, and compliance tracking. The site-level deployment included development of internal tools within IBM Maximo to manage compliance and maintenance workflows, and a maintenance scheduling overhaul that standardized task planning and improved preventative maintenance processes across shifts and departments.
Operational coverage extended across terminal operations, maintenance, environmental compliance, and safety governance, with the regional safety committee and site leadership using IBM Maximo data to inform daily operations. The solution underpinned inter-departmental KPIs and improved communication across operations and maintenance teams, and it was used to coordinate simultaneous two dock operations that increased handling capacity and business opportunity for chemical transfer and bulk handling.
Governance changes accompanied the technical rollout, including creation of cross-functional KPIs and formalized maintenance scheduling procedures. Outcomes recorded at the site included improved efficiency, increased business opportunities from enhanced handling capability, a reduction in disability claims and property damage attributed to the safety initiative You Can Stop, and maintenance of annual OPEX within plus or minus 4 percent of the forecasted plan.
