In 2015 Kingfisher implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 under the EASIER Programme to establish group-wide standard ways of working and to simplify customer and colleague interactions. The engagement centered on the SAP Template and parallel Customer & Colleague workstreams, positioning SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as the core ERP Financial system for finance process standardization across the group.
Implementation work included retrieval and consolidation of documentation, processes and procedures to populate the SAP Template, and configuration activities aligned to finance and retail transaction patterns. Project personnel undertook hands-on validation by attending three pilot store go-lives in EIRE, which informed configuration refinements and support processes; these field learnings were fed back to the KITS Service Desk during the rollout.
Operationally SAP ERP ECC 6.0 operated alongside other identified finance systems, notably CODA for banner level financial management and HFM for group level financial reporting, with in-store transaction processing systems also in scope for audit and integration considerations. The environment was managed through the centralised Kingfisher IT Services function, reflecting banner level finance operations and cross system reporting relationships between SAP, CODA and HFM.
Governance was formalized through the EASIER Programme and a central IT audit review to evaluate the supporting IT systems, while support ownership was transitioned into Service Desk UK for ongoing operational support. SAP ERP ECC 6.0 was restated as the enterprise ERP Financial application in program documentation, and Service Desk knowledge transfer from pilot activities was used to embed support procedures and incident handling for the UK rollout.

| Tata Consultancy Services | Legacy | TCS OmniStore POS | Point Of Sale | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2023 | 2023 |
In 2023, Kingfisher implemented TCS OmniStore POS, deploying a Point Of Sale application across its B&Q and Castorama store estate. The deployment was delivered by Tata Consultancy Services and targeted store-level tills and transaction processing as the primary operational domain.
The TCS OmniStore POS implementation focused on core till capabilities including transaction capture, payment processing, returns and receipt printing, and store configuration management. Configuration and client software were organized to support centralized policy distribution to store tills and local transactional continuity consistent with Point Of Sale operational patterns.
Integrations were executed at the store edge, interfacing TCS OmniStore POS with in-store payment terminals, barcode scanners and store operations systems, and providing interfaces for sales posting to central merchandising and financial systems. The architecture emphasized a store-centric till client with centralized configuration and reporting services to coordinate pricing and transaction data flows across the store estate.
Governance for the program included a named product owner and business analyst from Tata Consultancy Services, Manju Reddy, who led product ownership and business analysis for the TCS OmniStore POS implementation from April 2017 to February 2024. Rollout governance combined store operations coordination, configuration control and change management between retail operations and the vendor delivery teams.
