In 2015, Knight Watch implemented Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise as its ERP Financial system. The deployment centralized core finance and HR-adjacent transactional workflows for the 140 employee professional services firm. Knight Watch used Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise ERP Financial to manage accounts payable, payroll administration, employee records, vendor reconciliation and project related invoice processing.
Configuration prioritized accounts payable controls, with all invoices entered into Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise and verified against purchase orders and item receipts. The system supported weekly payroll execution and monthly commissions processing, and it was configured to maintain new hire setup and ongoing employee record maintenance. Financial operations also included management and payment of employee and company credit cards and a cadence for monthly review of vendor statements and open item receipts.
Operational governance required finance to work directly with project and service managers to clear invoice discrepancies and reconcile open item receipts. Workflows were established for invoice routing, vendor statement reconciliation, payroll and commission approval cycles, and HR screening processes such as background checks for potential employees remained part of the overall hiring controls. The implementation covered finance, payroll, HR and project accounting functions across Knight Watch operations.
