Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central was configured to support standard ERP Financial capabilities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and basic inventory and order management workflows consistent with a distribution-led finance function. Configuration work described in the implementation included chart of accounts alignment, multi-entity posting rules, role-based security, and financial reporting structures to support both statutory and management reporting needs.
The implementation operated alongside other Dynamics 365 and enterprise applications, with explicit collaboration across Business Central, Sales Tools, Product Information Management PIM, and QAD delivery teams, indicating integrated master data and transactional handoffs between sales, product, and manufacturing/ERP domains. A Dynamics 365 Platform Owner role was established to manage the Power Platform estate, using Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI to create custom views, automate workflows and support ETL and API-based data exchanges to maintain coherent data environments.
Governance was organized through Group IT with the Platform Owner coordinating application owners and delivery teams, defining workflow modification patterns, and owning process automation and data migration activities.
