In 2013, Lane Bryant implemented SAP Concur Expense to centralize Expense Management across finance and HR expense workflows. The deployment centered on integrating Concur’s expense processing with core HCM processes in Workday HCM, aligning expense control with payroll and benefits data flows.
Configuration work included multi-dimensional reporting and analytics with drill-down to transaction-level details, and development of SOAP Web Services for Concur Expense Management using Workday Report Writer and EIB exports. The implementation emphasized expense transactional visibility, fed by structured Workday reports and EIB-driven payloads to support reconciliations and audit-level tracing.
Integrations were executed using Workday Report Writer and EIB for outbound data extracts, and SOAP web services to carry Concur Expense Management transactions, while outbound Benefit Interfaces were configured using Workday Cloud Connect for Benefits. These integration patterns connected HR, benefits, and expense systems to create a joined operational flow between Workday HCM and SAP Concur Expense, impacting HR and finance business functions.
Governance and rollout activities focused on test strategy, test plans, and scripts to validate HCM business processes in Workday HCM and the associated expense interfaces. Testing and reporting capabilities were positioned to support ongoing operational controls, exception handling, and transaction-level troubleshooting across the integrated expense ecosystem.
