SAP SAP ERP ECC 6.0 SAP S/4 HANA ERP Financial ERP n/a 2021 2021
In 2021, LEO Laboratories implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its core ERP Financial platform, replacing SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to consolidate and modernize finance and controllership capabilities. The initiative was driven by a Global IT mandate to optimize organization and processes while supporting LEO Pharma's ambition to become the world’s preferred dermatology care partner, and it was embedded in ongoing roadmaps developed with primary outsourcing partners and Global IT stakeholders. The SAP S/4 HANA deployment focused on core finance functional modules common to ERP Financial projects, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting, intercompany accounting, financial close and statutory reporting. Configuration work emphasized master data harmonization, standardized finance processes and automation of period close workflows, with SAP S/4 HANA used as the single source of transactional financial truth and reporting instrumentation. Operational integration placed the SAP S/4 HANA instance within Global IT service delivery and I&O Delivery operations, with explicit collaboration paths between the project team, business owners and regulatory stakeholders to validate requirements and compliance. The program established testing and acceptance gates as part of release orchestration, and the test organization was structured to support both project testing and post-go-live operational testing for defined business areas. Governance was reinforced through an I&O Delivery led agile setup aimed at improving collaboration, time to market and organizational resilience, and a Test Manager role was appointed to join the S/4 HANA project and then assume day-to-day ownership of testing services after go-live. This governance approach prioritized service levels, compliance and maintainability, embedding testing and business owner signoff into operational workflows. The S/4 HANA implementation created a platform for continuous service improvement, transformation and innovation across LEO Laboratories' global IT landscape, while concentrating ERP Financial processes and controls into a unified SAP S/4 HANA environment that supports defined business areas and global finance operations.

SAP Legacy SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Core HR HCM n/a 2020 2020
In 2020, LEO Laboratories implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central with a global big bang go live in March 2020, establishing the system as the companys Core HR platform. The roll out was executed as a global implementation covering HR master data consolidation and centralized workforce records to support a worldwide HR operating model. SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central was configured to deliver core HR capabilities including employee master data, organizational management, and time management workflows aligned to the Core HR category. The program included parallel initiatives to standardize time off processes and to coordinate with a Global Time and Attendance system, specifically Time Off and Kronos, to ensure consistent absence and hours tracking across sites. Integrations were implemented to support the new operating model, including linkage to a Global Payroll outsourcing arrangement and the Global Time and Attendance systems. The rollout also included the global launch of the ServiceNOW HR module, and the introduction of Robotic Process Automation within HR and across LEO to automate transactional HR tasks and handoffs between systems. Governance changes accompanied the technical deployment, with the establishment of worldwide HR Shared Services to centralize service delivery and data stewardship. ServiceNOW was positioned to standardize HR case management while RPA was used to streamline repetitive processes, creating a consolidated governance and workflow structure for global HR operations. The program achieved a successful big bang go live in March 2020, and subsequent workstreams focused on rolling out Global Payroll outsourcing, extending the Global Time and Attendance footprint, and operationalizing HR Shared Services and RPA driven process automation.
