SAP Legacy SAP S/4 HANA ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2018 2022
In 2018 Linde Germany implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its ERP Financial platform to centralize and standardize finance operations across its corporate template. The deployment positioned SAP S/4 HANA as the primary ERP Financial application for central finance functions and financial master data consolidation. The SAP S/4 HANA implementation included a Central Finance configuration and standard S/4 finance capabilities, with emphasis on financial master data harmonization, general ledger consolidation and transactional finance processing. Implementation work reflected typical ERP Financial workflows such as unified accounting records and ledger reconciliation, and included sizing and migration planning specific to S/4 HANA. Architecturally the program combined on premise Central Finance components with cloud migration planning, the latter described through SAP S/4 HANA sizing and migrations into the Microsoft Azure Cloud. Operational hosting and outsourced datacenter responsibilities were governed through a T-Systems data center footprint in Munich for consolidated SAP templates, and the design accounted for multiple SAP and non SAP backend system integrations. Governance was driven by SAP technical solutions architecture and planning, with lifecycle management strategies to maintain update landscapes and ensure infrastructure, application and security compliance. The implementation scope incorporated planning for carve outs and divestments following mergers and acquisitions, supplier and vendor management in an outsourced datacenter, and hyper care support during rollouts.
