| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2010 | 2011 |
In 2010, Lockheed Martin UK implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial backbone. The engagement began as a full implementation rather than an upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6, reflecting a project scope aimed at exploiting the full capabilities of SAP rather than a version refresh.
The implementation encompassed core modules including FI/CO, PP, PS, MM, PM, SD and DMS, with functional coverage across financial accounting, controlling, production planning, project systems, materials management, plant maintenance and sales and distribution. Workstreams included extensive ABAP ALV report development and Web Dynpro user interfaces, and a Promenta Workflow deployment for FI/CO process orchestration.
Technical delivery relied on ABAP development using the ABAP workbench and Data Dictionary objects, and included use of user exits, BADI'S, BAPI'S, BDC'S, LSMW and dialogue programming. SAP Note implementation was part of the remediation and stabilization activity, while numerous SAPScripts and Smartforms were created for SD and FICO outputs, with technical specifications written and maintained throughout the program.
Application governance covered role and authorization design, creation and assignment of authorization profiles, and ongoing maintenance of technical documentation. The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 deployment impacted finance, controlling, sales and distribution, supply chain and engineering-centric project processes, aligning ERP Financial functionality with operational business functions across the Lockheed Martin UK organization.

| Triaster | Legacy | Triaster Process Library | Business Process Management | ERP Services and Operations | Triaster | 2012 | 2013 |
In 2012 Lockheed Martin UK Ampthill implemented the Triaster Process Library as a user-focused Quality Management System to support AS9100 and TickITPlus accreditation in the United Kingdom. The Triaster Process Library is a Business Process Management application used to capture visual process maps and structured QMS content for operational clarity and audit traceability.
Two Triaster consultants were embedded with Lockheed Martin staff to convert and map existing process documentation into the new library. Implemented capabilities emphasized process mapping, structured document storage, navigable process flows, searchable indexes, and audit evidence capture to make procedural content accessible to the quality organization.
The rollout targeted the Ampthill site and was executed through collaborative workshops and conversion sprints with internal process owners, establishing process governance, version control and ownership workflows. The library launched in summer 2013 and governance changes focused on maintaining mapped processes, role responsibilities and traceability for audits.
Operational scope concentrated on the quality function and audit preparedness, delivering easier navigation, improved search and stronger documentary evidence for audits. Triaster acted as the implementation partner and consulting resource throughout process conversion and deployment.
