In 2017 Look Ahead Care and Support implemented MHR iTrent HR to centralize Core HR operations across its HR function and line managers. The deployment positioned MHR iTrent HR as the primary system of record for recruitment, onboarding, absence tracking, and payroll-related workforce data for the organisation. Implementation focused on recruitment and onboarding workflows, including processing new starters, issuing offer letters and contracts prior to payroll deadlines, producing probation letters, and managing leavers and role and salary changes. The HR team used MHR iTrent HR to manage pre-employment checks such as References, DBS and Right to work, to upload adverts into iTrent and external websites, and to conduct CV screening and shortlist support for managers. Operational coverage included the central HR team, business partners and hiring managers, with activities that touched payroll processing through timely download of Bank Support Worker timesheets prior to payroll deadlines and accurate updating of sickness, maternity, paternity and unpaid absence records in iTrent and the sickness log. The programme also supported TUPE file collation, agency engagement for shift cover, and generation of weekly recruitment reports sent to managers. Governance and process workstreams established routine responsibilities for the HR service desk as first point of contact for queries via phone, Teams and email, training for new HR team members and managers on recruitment and bank worker processes, and support for audit requirements. The implementation emphasized maintaining data accuracy in MHR iTrent HR, embedding recruitment and absence workflows into everyday HR operations, and aligning people processes with business partner coordination.
