In 2023, Louvre Abu Dhabi implemented Intalio Case Management as the foundation for a customized Acquisition Management System to digitize and automate artwork proposal, review, and approval workflows for the museum’s acquisition process in Abu Dhabi. The initiative targeted the acquisition lifecycle and enlisted Intalio Case Management to centralize case intake, route review tasks, and capture approval decisions within a structured case lifecycle.
The deployment included configuration of core case management capabilities, specifically intake forms for proposal capture, workflow orchestration for multi-step review and approvals, and a centralized document archiving module. The implementation delivered bilingual user interfaces in English and Arabic and configured role based access and task routing to align curatorial and acquisitions responsibilities with approval hierarchies and documentation requirements.
Operational coverage focused on museum acquisition teams in Abu Dhabi with the system supporting regional operations via bilingual support and standardized acquisition workflows. Functional impact concentrated on acquisitions and curatorial workflows, with the solution providing searchable archival records and automated routing of proposals through staged review and sign off.
The project began in September 2023 and completed in July 2024, yielding faster decision making and improved document archiving as reported, while governance changes included formalized approval routing, centralized case records, and standardized process steps for acquisition reviews. Intalio Case Management remains the stated application name and serves as the Case Management platform for Louvre Abu Dhabi’s acquisition operations.
