In 2014 Lutron Electronics implemented Workday HCM as its global HR system. The program migrated core employee records and HR process configuration from Oracle PeopleSoft HCM to Workday HCM and positioned the new platform as the companywide Core HR system supporting both manufacturing and corporate workforces.
The implementation focused on Core HR functional configuration, including employee master data consolidation, organization and position management, job and compensation structures, and Workday business process framework for hire to retire workflows. Security and role based access controls were established, and the Workday HCM tenant was configured to support multi entity HR policies and localized HR recordkeeping across Lutron Electronics.
Data migration from Oracle PeopleSoft HCM was executed as the principal integration activity, moving historical employee and organizational data into Workday HCM and converting key HR records to the new data model. The program followed a centralized HRIS governance model, establishing HR process ownership, change control for business processes, and a phased global rollout approach to operationalize Workday HCM across Lutron Electronics.
