| SAP | Legacy | SAP S/4 HANA | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2024 | 2024 |
In 2024, Marelli Europe implemented SAP S/4 HANA. The SAP S/4 HANA deployment focused on core finance and production planning integration within the ERP Financial environment while coordinating SAP IBP for planning flows.
The implementation covered SAP S/4 HANA master data and production planning capabilities, including configuration and validation of PP master data such as BOM, routing and work centers, transactional production data loading, and finance master data alignment. Functional activities included configuration, user acceptance testing, key user training and ongoing support for task and incident handling. Data preparation tasks encompassed file formatting, cleansing and verification of imported master data in S/4 HANA.
Integration architecture emphasized bidirectional data flows between SAP S/4 HANA and SAP IBP, with CI-DS used to orchestrate and monitor data transfers and controls for mapping master and transactional datasets. The project scope explicitly included plant relocalization work, comprising extraction, cleansing, migration and verification of production data for site moves. Business functions impacted by the implementation included production planning, supply chain execution and S&OP, while financial processes were centralized in the ERP Financial layer.
Operational governance was supported by Center of Excellence structures covering IBP, SNC, APO and Blue Yonder Demand, with coordinated teams enforcing the corporate S&OP model and ensuring system functional continuity. Change management activities incorporated iterative UAT cycles, key user training and structured task management to support post go live operations. The implementation emphasized configuration discipline, data quality controls and monitored replication between S/4 HANA and planning systems.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019 Magneti Marelli implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as its Core HR platform. The program was led by a designated Project Lead with responsibility for governance of global HR processes and systems, and targeted a global Core HR rollout across 24 countries covering approximately 60,000 employees.
The implementation configured SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central to manage core employee master data, organizational management, position and job records, and global HR process orchestration. The program also included a dedicated Payroll and Time Management roll-out covering 8 countries and about 20,000 employees, with configuration of payroll-adjacent and time capture capabilities to extend the Core HR foundation.
Architecturally the deployment followed a centralized Core HR service model, applying country-specific configuration and localization for statutory payroll and time rules while retaining a single Employee Central instance for master data. Operational coverage spanned HR, payroll, and timekeeping functions, aligning local HR operations and workflows to the centralized Employee Central hub across multiple regions.
Governance and rollout were administered centrally under the Project Lead to standardize global HR workflows and system ownership, with staged country rollouts to manage local configuration, compliance, and operational handover. The implementation of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central in Core HR established a unified employee record and standardized HR process framework across the covered countries.

In 2017, Magneti Marelli implemented the Databricks Unified Analytics Platform. The deployment targeted manufacturing analytics to simplify infrastructure operations and accelerate machine learning use to address engineering and production challenges, reflecting its placement in the ML and Data Science Platforms category and supporting production and quality analytics.
The Databricks Unified Analytics Platform centralized data processing and analytics workloads, introducing scalable compute provisioning, collaborative notebooks, and data engineering pipelines for feature engineering and model training. The platform supported model experimentation and standard ML lifecycle activities including training, validation, and versioning, enabling cross-functional data science workflows and reproducible analytics.
Operational coverage emphasized manufacturing engineering, production analytics, and quality functions, while governance moved toward centralized analytics, standardized pipelines, and reduced operational complexity for infrastructure management. Magneti Marelli used Databricks Unified Analytics Platform to analyze telemetry and process data in new ways that was previously impossible, changing how engineering and operations teams surface insights from large-scale manufacturing data.
