In 2022 ManTech implemented ServiceNow Workflow Automation as a Business Process Management platform to centralize IT service management and operational workflow orchestration for the aerospace and defense contractor. The deployment targeted the Now platform on Madrid release or newer, positioning ServiceNow Workflow Automation to support IT service delivery, IT operations, and automated service catalog orchestration across the enterprise.
Configured modules included IT Service Management, IT Operations Management, Service Catalog, Service Portal, and multiple scoped applications, with ServiceNow Workflow Automation used to model and execute end to end business workflows. Development and configuration work emphasized scripted customization using Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, Scheduled Jobs, and workflow activities, and staffing requirements mandated SNOW Certified System Administrator and Certified Application Developer certifications with ten or more years of progressive ServiceNow platform experience.
Integrations were implemented using Integration Hub and web services via SOAP, REST, and JSON, and the platform was connected to supporting technologies such as LDAP, Single Sign On, Identity Management, MID Servers, SSL certificates, SMTP, and NTP to enable hybrid orchestration and secure authentication. The architecture relied on ServiceNow instances on the Now platform, scoped application lifecycle management, and automated testing tools for release validation and operational stability.
Governance emphasized adherence to ServiceNow best practices, ongoing platform feature stewardship, and minimum credential requirements for Cyber IT Cybersecurity Workforce positions as defined in Section 6 Table 1. Change control combined scripted automation, scoped app governance, and integration oversight to align IT operations, service catalog processes, and cross functional service delivery workflows.
