The deployment was aligned to BPR Release 1 activity that commenced in June 2017 and launched across the organization in July 2019, and the SAP S/4 HANA HCM Benefits implementation specifically targeted payroll and benefits components within the broader scope covering Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, Supply Chain, Inventory, Maintenance and Health and Safety. SAP S/4 HANA HCM Benefits was provisioned to deliver core payroll and benefits administration capabilities, and it was integrated with SuccessFactors Employee Central for core human capital management processes, WorkForce Software for scheduling, time and attendance, and SAP Jam as the employee intranet portal. The implementation included employee self service functionality to return benefits data and interactions to line employees, and the solution was configured to support centralized benefits administration workflows consistent with enterprise ERP patterns. Governance for the SAP S/4 HANA HCM Benefits rollout adhered to founding BPR principles that prioritized organizational transformation, process alignment to industry standards, centralization of previously siloed processes with defined process owners, reduction of process and technology complexity, and establishment of a scalable platform for future growth. A formal hyper care phase from Go Live on July 26 2019 through the end of September provided one to one coaching and on site training for employees at all locations, and the hyper care and stabilization phases experienced fewer systems issues than expected while user acceptance exceeded expectations.
