Workday Absence Management operated alongside Microsoft 365 tools, with SharePoint and OneNote used for document management and case notes, and MS Teams and Outlook used for employee communications and notification workflows.
Operational ownership rested with HR Employee Services specialists who administered leave cases, managed employee records, and acted as vendor liaison for issue resolution. The rollout reinforced coordinated processing between Leave and Benefits and HR Customer Service, formalizing leave intake, life event handling, and inclusion of absence steps in onboarding and retirement workflows. Training materials and runbooks were maintained in SharePoint and MS Teams to support operational governance and case triage.
Architecturally the solution was provisioned through MassMutual's Workday tenant as a cloud SaaS absence module, configured for role based access and HR centric workflow orchestration. Workday Absence Management delivered a unified absence and leave record inside Workday to maintain consistent administration across HR functions.
