Microsoft Legacy Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations ERP Financial ERP n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, Mazuma Credit Union implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations to establish a centralized ERP Financial backbone for its finance and operations landscape. The deployment targeted core accounting and financial reporting workloads for the organization, aligning the application with the institution’s business systems strategy and ongoing process excellence efforts. Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations was configured to support standard ERP Financial modules including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting and forecasting, fixed assets, procurement, and financial reporting. The implementation emphasized role based security, workflow automation for financial close and payment processing, and configuration to accommodate credit union specific transaction flows and controls. The implementation integrated with Dynamics 365 CRM and with the credit union’s card processing and lending systems to synchronize member, account and transaction data across finance, lending operations, and card operations. Integration work used application to application interfaces and scheduled data synchronization to maintain consistent master data for members and ledgers, while enabling operational teams to reconcile financial and transactional records. Governance and rollout were driven by the Project Portfolio Management Office under the Director of Project Management and Process Excellence, who led prioritization of programs, vendor relationship and contract categorization, and project governance. Formal processes for risk management, communication, escalation, quality assurance, change management, schedule and financial management were instituted to coordinate delivery across finance, lending, card operations and project teams, and to support ongoing process improvement and member experience objectives.
