In 2016 Mecca Bingo engaged K3 Business Technology Group to implement Microsoft Dynamics AX as an ERP Financial application across its retail and digital operations. The engagement was scoped to supply and configure New Microsoft Dynamics AX for Mecca Bingo and sister brand Grosvenor Casino, targeting Financial Shared Services to centralize financial management and reporting across approximately 140 retail sites and Rank Group’s online channels.
The implementation focused on financial modules and general ledger governance, configuring Microsoft Dynamics AX to support multi-site ledger structures, consolidated financial reporting and shared services workflows. Configuration work emphasized user security, multi-entity accounting rules and reporting structures to reflect high street venue accounting and online transaction feeds.
Operational coverage included hundreds of users across the UK and extended to both venue finance teams and centralized Financial Shared Services, aligning retail site processes with online business reporting. K3 Business Technology Group was selected on account of its retail and leisure sector experience and its implementation capability for multi-site environments.
Governance and rollout planning centered on standardizing financial processes and reporting across brands, with the stated objective of improving the management and reporting of financial performance. The deployment of Microsoft Dynamics AX as an ERP Financial system was positioned to unify financial management across Mecca Bingo’s estate and online operations under a single vendor-supplied solution.

In 2015 Mecca Bingo implemented Playtech as its Enterprise Gaming Platform to deliver an omnichannel gaming architecture across retail, online, mobile, and handheld channels. The deployment used Playtech ONE to unify game content and systems and to support Mecca Max handheld devices as part of a combined bingo software and content strategy.
The implementation included Playtech retail server based software and an enterprise management layer providing player management, content and multimedia management, rules based rewards, jackpots, tournaments, bonusing, loyalty, cash desk facilities, responsible gaming controls, security and monitoring. Real time reporting, business intelligence, optimisation and player tracking capabilities were configured to enable operational decision making and terminal segmentation.
Playtech was integrated across Mecca Bingo’s estate, powering the company’s online platform alongside retail venues, 2,300 UK terminals and approximately 12,000 in-hall handheld terminals. The program referenced wider integrations and channel initiatives noted in external communications, including collaborative activity with SG Gaming and prior omni channel projects such as Coral Connect which reported more than 260,000 customer sign ups.
Governance centered on Playtech’s back office management tools to provide full site control, estate level administration and player base management, enabling Mecca to orchestrate content rollouts and in store promotional campaigns. The rollout included live launches of slot content such as Adventures in Wonderland and Heart of the Jungle across all channels, and was described in vendor communications as reinforcing Playtech’s market position in the UK retail bingo sector.
